Social Media Associate

Work Location: Flexible in Bay Area, Central Valley 

The Social Media Associate will be responsible for understanding the intricacies and best practices for communications and digital marketing on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, , YouTube, and other social media platforms. He/She will build, launch, optimize and report on social media campaigns for a variety of different clients including nonprofits, issues advocacy, government, and B2B sectors. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Detailed planning and launching of digital marketing efforts in Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and other social platforms;
  • Campaign monitoring and optimization based on KPIs;
  • Coordinating with MarComm team regarding accounts as needed;
  • Serve as point of contact to clients for anything social-related on reporting calls, recommendations and day-to-day collaboration;
  • Stay current on platform improvements and new offerings in the social media space by providing articles to MarComm team and blog;
  • Developing content for blogs in a style that engages readers;
  • Create strategies that are optimized for search engine results;
  • Administrative support including but not limited to entering communications projects, assignments into project software, maintaining status reports, social media calendaring, data mining, secondary research, etc.;

Experience and Skills:

PR Account Manager

Work Location: Flexible in Bay Area, Central Valley 

The PR Account Manager contributes to and implements communication strategies with the goal of planning and creating communications that educates, engages, cultivates and inspires support for KeeWest clients. Responsibilities are to propose, create and execute communications; to evaluate, track, and measure results; to provide day-to-day management; and drive
cross-functional collaborations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Account leadership for brand strategy, digital content creation, web development, online advertising, social media, experiential, mass media, PR and print campaigns;
  • Planning, directing and providing overall creative direction for client communication projects to include editorial concept;
  • Serving as a resource and strategic counsel for key clients and partners, the Director will collaborate in creating communications plans; and assist colleagues in identifying how and when to communicate for best results;
  • Writing and creating content communications, event presentations, and talking points for clients;
  • Primary interface for communications, working collaboratively to align goals and messaging; serves as project manager for projects requiring brand identity;
  • Developing content for blogs in a style that engages readers;

Special Events Manager - Freelance

Work Location: San Jose, Bakersfield, CA, work remotely 

Special Events Manager is a member of the KeeWest team and is responsible for leading and managing high level event logistics and ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. Events range from 50-person small meetings to 1500-person banquet events. 

 The Special Events Manager is responsible for taking the event brief and executing it in accordance with the client’s needs, budget and given timeline. Financial Management is an integral part of this role – taking accountability for the P&L of the event, managing the cost sheet for the client and ensuring the event is fully closed off as soon as the event is completed. The Special Events Manager reports to the KeeWest Principal. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create tailor-made responses to client briefs, providing suggestions and solutions which are both creative and practical and present these back to the client
  • Take responsibility for the specific areas that are given to you in relation to large projects and report back on the progress and flag any issues that arise throughout. Ensuring Costs are accurate in the client cost sheet and P&L
  • Securing event space including assessment of event layout, parking, audio/visual capacity analysis, catering and pricing;
  • Coordinate all food & beverage (F&B) for events, recommend and select menus for events, liaison with Catering Managers and F&B directors at venue, manage guarantees;
  • Tracking multi-level sponsorship information often simultaneously with other events;
  • Draft event marketing e-blasts and mass emails using Eventbrite, Mailchimp, email and other resources as identified
  • Collaborate w/team on development of banners, signage, table cards including exhibit tables;

Senior Graphic Designer - Freelance

Work Location: San Jose, Bakersfield, CA, work remotely 

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for collaborating with members of the KeeWest team to create targeted communications through a variety of print and digital channels, and integrated campaigns for prospective, and current clients. They will conceptualize, develop and implement innovative designs that maintain client brand identity and bring an excellent understanding of all things creative. 

To succeed in this role, applicant must be self-starter, proactive, flexible, detail oriented, have excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. They must have a desire to learn and do things the right way and the ability to follow documentation and a willingness to contribute to a team to help move everyone forward.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the various members of the KeeWest MarComm team and other key stakeholders to develop digital and traditional graphic designs;
  • Responsible for the design and production of a diverse range of graphic, print, and digital media collateral including assets such as email/web banners, brochures, social media, e-books and other formats;
  • Managing print production, including digital/offset, specialty treatments and materials and delivery for multiple mediums;
  • Overseeing and enforcing suggested guidelines/protocols for client brand and style guidelines;
  • Traffic projects through the production process;
  • Understanding of the WordPress Content Management System, Elementor, along with knowledge of html and CSS a plus;
